Re:Submitting Articles - 2006/05/27 00:59
both are welcome.
The News section presently has two categories: Headlines and BackPage. Big news like IFPA's new status should def be under Headlines, whereas Vasek's video interview could go either way. Just think about how significant something is (and how much interest there may be), and choose the appropriate category. I prefer to keep the BackPage mostly for site updates but other minor announcements are welcome.
Submissions to either News category can show up on the Front Page (of the website). There's a checkbox at the bottom of the submission page if you think it belongs on the Front Page. Either way a Publisher (like a Moderator but with Publishing rights) will look at the submission and make any necessary changes.
That's not to overlook the Know section, which could really use more member contribution. Of course, you have to be quite versed/experienced/knowledgable in footbag to write one of those articles, but anyone could start one then ask for help in the forum.
Thanks for your question.
