READ FIRST!!! About the Forum - 2006/04/29 19:41 The Forum is intended for site-relevant discussions and support. The community doesn't need another place to talk footbag to death, literally if you will. My goal with Flipsider is to actually encourage people to *do something* rather than just talk about it. Actions speak louder than words after all.

If you want to chat about footbag with other players or need some questions answered, I suggest you go to modified.in or footbag.org/forum where hundreds of people spend countless hours bragging, praising others, talking about things they're going to do (but never will), talking about things others could/should do, and so on. That's just the negative side, I know, there is some (a little) value in the forums, but that's how I see it these days. For example I used what (extremely) limited spare time I had over the past several months to build Flipsider. If I had instead spent that hour or two per day talking b.s. on the forums, it would have never happened.

So what can be discussed in the Flipsider forum, you ask? I repeat, site-relevant discussions and support. I'll give y'all some ideas and examples when I have time.

Thank you.

Re:READ FIRST!!! About the Forum - 2006/05/17 02:37 As stated in another topic.

To address the concern about how to use this forum, it's not only for technical issues (support). It's also for *site-related discussion*. For example, let's say 'Joe Bob' wants to cover Worlds 2006- an inside look/journalisitc piece. He could post here and find a couple people who want to get involved. They can discuss ideas to make the best report(s) possible, e.g. video clips, daily blogging, interviews with the winners, photos, whatever! Then at worlds, they rendezvous and collaborate on the project, uploading their work at the end of each day. This is just one idea, and a very elaborate one at that. Use it for the betterment of footbag, just not to chit chat and waste time.

Another idea would be to ask people what moves they would like to see in the Tricks section (assuming you plan to make some move demos), or any tutorials/articles for the Know section, or to ask for feedback from others before publishing an article of some kind. It's really limitless. I just want to see people do more and talk less, and thus the forum is not intended to establish another pseudo-separate online community. There is one footbag community. We just use different websites. Now everyone take advantage of Flipsider!
